Steam/Valve has robbed me
Hi!

Before buying some cards, Steam took 1$ from my wallet to check for funds.
The purchase and payment of the cards was normal.
Time passed and the money did not come back.
I claimed / asked about this in the support.
They said they would in 3-4 days money back. This occurred on November 1.
I asked again and I do not want to attend. Just copy / pasting standard procedures for procedures that have nothing to do.
I felt insulted and despised so much that I have considered seriously denounce justice.
They told me to send them a complaint letter to the following address public company:
Valve
PO BOX 1688
Bellevue, WA 98009. USA
I do not facilitate a subsidiary in Spain or Europe. Do not give me any feasible alternative.

I feel really insulted and despised, I have already taken a firm decision not to buy anything on Steam.
It's not the money, impotence and derision.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Any idea how to overcome the problem?

Thank you.

Hi!

I do not seek help from the platform, and they have denied me.
Looking similar cases between users. Knowing what they did.

Ty! and thanks for answering.

Hi!

So you recommend spending 5€ to start paperwork by mail?

If they wanted to solve the problem would have sent an email address where to send the letter. Even a FAX number. Something faster, agile and economical. Perhaps the problem is I, but the letter sounds like a bad joke.

Spending six times the money claimed by letter that they can simply ignore, I find something that would only as a last resort.

Ty! and thanks for answering.

Did you make sure you didnt get the money? Did you ask your bank?

Sending a complaint letter is the only way to seriously denounce justice.

Hi!

The place they took the money is "My Steam Wallet", not the bank, do not know what name is in English but are funds that appear next to the nickname of Steam. Top right of the screen to use your platform.

It is very easy to check that, for example, if I have 5€ and bought four stickers of 0.03€ each, can I have a final balance of 4.88€.
And no 4.08€, which is the same amount minus the dollar they said they had taken to ensure that funding.

They acknowledge having taken the money when I complained, but not returned.
I'm sure you have not readmitted because every day I check.

Ty! and thanks for answering.

Hi!

Thank you very much, I fully understand what you say.

Yes, what moves me at this point is not the money but the treatment received, why I want to get as much information to go no rookie.
Seriously appreciate send that letter.
But before spending more money than they claim they have robbed me, I wanted to ask users if the same thing happened and as I was, besides collecting other ideas.

Ty! and thanks for answering.

Just want to know something, are you sure that it was from steam not just some sort of scam. Cause there seem to be a few scammers around here, even tho i don't know if that would be possible :/ And maybe one of the sticker you bought just was more expensive? Could have been that the steam wasn't market updated?

Hi!

I think so was Valve.

At first I did not know what had happened to the missing amount, I reviewed the history of the market and all transactions that appear on my profile to find the problem.

I claimed to not find anything and they tell me it is money that is taken out of the portfolio before automatically buy something with your funds Steam to verify that you balance.
I was also told that in a few days would be returned.

Anda not want to accuse without proof, I simply say what they told me ami about those missing funds.

Ty! and thanks for answering.

Stickers? What game are those from? Did you buy it in the market or something else?

Checked these things? https://store.steampowered.com/account/store_transactions
https://store.steampowered.com/account/ingame_transactions
https://store.steampowered.com/account/market_transactions

Can you take screenshots of these pages?

When they take a euro to verify your card they take it from the bank, not the wallet. so those 50 cents or whatever is something else.

Credit Card Verification

Verification charges should never be taken from one's Wallet Funds.

It's called credit card verification for a reason. According to its FAQ, the charges are deducted from your bank or credit card, not your Steam Wallet.

The fact that money has mysteriously disappeared from your Steam Wallet is unheard of.

I suggest contacting Steam Support again and emphasize that you are talking about your Steam Wallet—this has nothing to do with ''ensuring funds''.

Yes, that 1€ that they took from your card will be refunded to your card.

Those other charges that the sticker purchases caused should be explained in the links i posted.

First I want to apologize, my English is not good enough to stop follow and pace of your answers and understand what they write at first.

I try to answer:
When I buy a game and get the cards you get to play, the rest I put on the market in search automatically for 0.03€ each, so that if they reach that price buy without me having to do anything .
It is set to take the money from my wallet steam when that happens.

I've understood that when you get back the money reenter the bank, not the portfolio of Steam.
Are you sure? If true it is new information in a month to talk with members of the support have not got and you together.

I do not mean to verifying credit card.

When you sell stuff on the market Valve takes a cut.
You see two numbers, the money you get if you sell and the money it costs for the buyer. Valve takes the difference, that is how they earn money on the market.

And yes, the money is sent to the bank. Check your bank. the 1.

Looks like this is all a big misunderstanding.
