Report a translation problem
Check device manager is using the mad catz driver and not the microsoft one, also if you have previously had a microsoft intellimouse plugged into your machine you must uninstall the intellimouse driver, it will cause driver conflicts.
Check the surface its on and clean the feet of the mouse, if dirt or dust buildup is on them it will cause the mouse to lift and the lasers will not track.
