Mad Catz R.A.T 5 stopped working suddenly.

My Mad Catz mouse stopped working suddenly. It's really weird because the left and right buttons work but the cursor doesn't move.
In device manager my pc recognises the mouse and the drivers are up to date but it still doesn't work.
Anyone know why? I'm pulling my hair out here, only had it for about 6 months.

Today, my RAT5 stopped working too, not works any button only works the axis! :S

Well I can set it next to my NON working Albino RAT 7 if you'd like. YOUR ISSUE IS MAD CATz stuff suxs worse then RAZER. Nice lights, bells and whistles

Its a USB 2.0 device, check its not plugged into a USB 3.0 port or an asmedia port,(blue ones).

Check device manager is using the mad catz driver and not the microsoft one, also if you have previously had a microsoft intellimouse plugged into your machine you must uninstall the intellimouse driver, it will cause driver conflicts.

Check the surface its on and clean the feet of the mouse, if dirt or dust buildup is on them it will cause the mouse to lift and the lasers will not track.

for more help you will need to be more detailed in the problem you have. What driver, do you use the sst software, motherboard make etc.
