Is Steamleft safe to log in?
I saw an article about how much it would take me to complete my steam library
http://steamleft.com/
The thing is, for some reason it doesnt find my ID, even though my profile is public, so it gives another option to log in using steam credentials, I of course, dont trust the site that much to give out my steam credentials, so, has someone else logged in using them? is it safe?

It goes by your profile URL. Your ID is 76561198014765260.

It would take you...
1340 continuous hours
55 days,20 hours,4 minutes
of gameplay to complete your Steam library

Anyway, logging in is safe, since it uses the Steam API.

OOOOOOkay. I need to talk to my boss about taking a few days off.

Of course, the number is complete garbage. Official playtime numbers seem to be WAAAAAY too low for me.

So I guess I'll just ask for a few more days.

And yeah, it uses the login-through-Steam mechanics. No problem there.

Hint: if you're unsure about such sites (and how should anyone know? I certainly didn't know it before), just make sure you're logged into the Steam website beforehand. A correctly implemented "login through Steam" will NOT ask for your credentials in this case, but it will just show your login name and ask whether you want to log in with this account.

Thus, no amount of fake will get credentials out of you.

You log in through Steam, you don't actually give your credentials to the webstite

Lots of trash that came in through bundles, "complete" packages and freebies.

There's a whole lot of stuff that I know I won't ever touch.
Does anyone have the same problem that login doesn't work?
I typed in my id, I even deleted the custom url, I signed in through steam and every time it says username wasn't found...
I tried with the number of a friend and with a different browser..
Is the site down?

Ask on that site. It is not owned by Valve.

Your games probably have to be set to public for it to work.

I just did it myself.

Is it still safe?

Only if you first login through the official Steam website in your browser and after that opening the other website.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
