A Safe Place to Advertise My YouTube?
Hi, I've been doing YouTube since February 2014 and the only way I've been getting subscriptions is through people randomly seeing my video on YouTube.(18 subs at time of posting) I just wanted to know if there were any particular forum sites where I could freely advertise my channel without being criticized and berated for it. Thank you for any suggestions because I've never been an active member of the forum scene, but if that's what it takes I suppose a can become one. :)

Most places hate people advertising their own stuff. Maybe do some giveaways or make some partnerships with other youtubers. Good way to get some subs.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I've read that just doing stuff like giveaways are terrible for getting subs because that is all people come for if it's all you do.
Well yeah.... Don't make it fully about giveaways. A giveaway now and then would be good to lure in more people.

Also as before. Maybe join up with another youtuber... get some subs from them. Ya know. Will keep growing gradually.

From my experience if you want to advertise your stuff, make some friends and build your channels supporting eachother. It is also very very very important to make videos people want to watch and to keep yourself happy with the content you are making. As for posting your stuff, mainly just try to make videos unique to a google search, so when someone googles something your video is on the front page. (for example when you search Skryim Glitches in youtube one of my old videos is there, Mainly because I was one of the first peoples to make a proper skyrim glitch video)
Despite me just advertising one of my old videos, people hate it when people advertise gaming channels in comments or elsewhere, so I would recommend not doing so. One new trend of advertising that doesn't make people hate you as much is to post a funny comment on a new popular video and have people you know make it a top comment.
Hope I helped in some way.
