I don't think that it's going to be worth the wait because it has so much hype. It will be hard to satisfy the Half Life fans.

Fans were 'hyped' before Half Life 2 as well. And the game was great, even if it wasn't groundbreaking like the first. 'Hype' doesn't make a game good or bad. 'Hype' isn't anything real...it is critique that literally means nothing.
