Competitive Cooldown on CS Go for no reason? I didn't even queue for a competitive game?
7 day cooldown. I know, I know. To get 7 days you had to had have cooldowns before. But I didn't even try to join a competitive game. Last night, I played a competitive game and we tied. After that game, I closed out of CS GO and went to bed- after the game concluded of course. I get on at 4 today to play with a friend, see he's in a comp game and restart CS again now CS Go says I'm banned for 7 days for failing to join a match at match start when I didn't even try to join a game.

I'm super confused, do I submit a ticket to Valve or what? Because this is extremely frustrating.

My last cooldown was my fault, changed my settings on my firewall and tried to play comp with friends and got the 'signature' VAC issue preventing me from joining. That was 2 days ago. But this time makes absolutely no sense. What should I do? Because I really want to play and it really sucks I can't play this game because of a cool down out of nowhere.

You can't do anything apart from wait out the ban. Don't bother sending Valve a Support ticket as it's just a waste of time for you and them.

Once you hit the 7 day cooldown threshold; it's a slippery slope to get your account back to the standard expected. If you hadn't been banned at least 5 times prior; this unfortunate incident could have been rectified in 20 minutes. You'll just have to wait a week and pray that when you return; no issues occur to get your banned to the tune of a week again.

That's what I thought unfortunately. Is there really nothing I can do? Because this incident just seems to be bad luck lately on my end. But you're right, if I hadn't got banned for stupid things prior- team damage, team killing a teammate at round start, abandoning, vac signature, etc.- in 30 minutes I'd be ready to play. I'm going to try to send a ticket as I think it's ridiculous not even joining a game and receiving another cooldown, but if that doesn't work I'll just take another week off and relax. Play a few other games. That won't do any harm I think. Could use another break anyway.

Thanks.
