Music Player SUCKS!!!
Thank you, Steam, for something completely and utterly useless. With your new music player I have the ability NOT to add songs individually to playlists. Instead I am gifted with the privledge of being able to only add entire artists and albums to the list i want. I also get the chance to throw my previous working, perfectly functional VLC playlists away because i can't transfer any pre-existing playlists to steam either. And BEST of all... I can't search through my libraries via folders. No i get to browse my music via albums and artists arrangment. Thanks for Nothing Steam.

Since we're on the topic about how much Steam has turned into one of the WORST providers for customer service, lets talk about game searching. BRING BACK ADVANCED SEARCH OPTIONS!!!!!! The simple fact that i can no longer access games within the now limping search engine, unless i know the title, is making me want to swear off Steam altogether. Raptr looks more and more promising than ever.

In conclusion. Steam. Old friend. You are taking steps in the wrong direction. Change now before its too late and you end up pulling a "Myspace." There's always Raptr

I always thought Steam shouldn't waste their time on a music player because there are better ones out there. But hey at least it's a start for those who want one. For we who don't like it can just not use it.

As for the search feature.

Have you seen the list of boxes you can tick in on the right? You got all sorts of categories all we need there are actually tags from users.
You can also sort them by relevance and other settings too.
You can see how many thumbs up they have gotten or if it's voted badly.

So what are you missing?
I just think of it as a quick way to access a games soundtrack after you bought it. After I bought something I just wanna give it a quick listen before I move it to my music folder and add it to my AIMP playlist. And for that I appreciate the "show in system" shortcut they added - makes copying it over just one step faster. It's kind of neat just for those things. I'd sure never use it as my regular music player - it doesn't even have an equalizer but I don't think it's intended for that.

Well one of the obvious answers is the ability to browse games by Metascore is missing. I often looked at that first before even considering a game. Another issue is you can't search by newest or oldest anymore. The homepage is a complete distaster. I'm tired of being reccomended to buy a game every page i go to now it's big fat and in your face first thing you look at. and speakiing of, why on earth did they make it harder to get to the browsing library? Getting the full list of F2P games, or anything else, is now a huge pain in the ass. It's just a mess, and if it is in beta as you say then i hope this is A list priority. because wow. i was not expecting the desire to rip my own hair out just to add some music or find games.
