Now for the more unique recommendations:
Dead End Aegis, the most discomforting game I've ever played. It's horrifyingly good.
Gore Screaming Show, more of a coming of age story. Same artist as Dead End Aegis, but it was made a long time ago.
Song of Saya a cult classic by Gen Urobuchi of Madoka Magica fame.
There's also Iwaihime which was written by the creator of the WTC franchise. It'll probably be 80% off very soon.
