Dumb question about SteamDB
SteamDB is a tracking & analytics database site for Steam game stats, but to get some of the historical info they want you to sign in, using your Steam login. Is this legit/safe? It seems like they are on the up and up, but I know there are a lot of scammers that use 3rd party sites to track Steam user API info. Everything I've seen seems to indicate that SteamDB is ok and they don't collect login info but I'm not sure if there's any risk there.

As long as you make sure you're getting the real Steam OpenID page, the worst that a scammer can do is know the URL of your profile.

When people get phished, it's because it's a fake Steam OpenID page, usually in a fake pop-up window.

If in doubt, go to the Steam website in a new tab and make sure you're logged in; that way, you'll only get a button and not a page that asks for your username and password.
