i happen to live in a r*ssian state and i need a way to filter out all r*ssian content
if i wanted to interact with these BEAUTIFUL AND INTELLIGENT BEINGS i'd just go outside, but the internet was meant to be a cheap form of escapism so please provide us with the tools to actually escape reality, thank you

I understand your frustration. If you're looking to filter out content in Russian, you might want to try using browser extensions or settings that allow you to block specific languages or regions. Additionally, customizing your content preferences on social media and other platforms can help tailor your online experience to your liking.

Hope this helps!

thanks, but i meant specifically steam app of course. something like a checkbox to never see r*ssian forum posts, r*ssian mods, r*ssian games etc

they already let us choose which language we don't want to see in reviews, and that's a step in the right direction, but there's sooo much more to filter, like all those occasional "ПАМАГИТЕ ЧЕРНЫЙ ЭКРАН НЕ ЗАПУСКАЕЦА" that pop up in random discussion boards from time to time.

The internet still works as means of escapism of you don't take what you're trying to escape from with you. Yes, Russia is evil and yes, the majority of Russians support the hostile invasion so they're evil.

However, you don't have to take politics with you here. You can play a Russian game without thinking about Russian foreign politics, for example. Posts in Russian (which don't even have to be by Russians, the language got adopted by more than one country) about how the screen is black got ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to do with Russia's kind of running international politics.

You can escape by not bringing with you what you're escaping from. You'll never escape if you do.

How do expect steam to know what to sort?

The technology is already there, it's called "language preferences" in your profile settings. All they need to do is make it apply to all content on steam, ie games, forum posts, workshop items etc, not just reviews.

edit: apparently, you CAN filter games by language, which is cool, but still not enough.

You are an ordinary person, you have no right to call any nation evil. You have no idea that ordinary people in Russia are being held hostage, not allowing them to speak freely
You don't have to take it from me, take it from external sources[www.statista.com].
Any reason to self-censor the word "Russia"? You know that this is just a word, right?
TOR is difficult to stop. The US took control of plenty of relay nodes, but only caught the Silkroad guy because he got careless.

Because the people of my country are "too hostile". Hell, that's one of the main reason why I avoid speaking Russian as much as possible
