Steam Web API IP Address Changes
The following change could affect anyone currently using the Steam Web APIs described at: https://partner.steamgames.com/documentation/webapi

On May 1st, we moved api.steampowered.com to a new IP block. This change should not affect anyone making HTTP requests to the Steam Web API targeted at the DNS name “api.steampowered.com”. However, we still see some Web API requests coming in on the old IPs. If you are making requests by IP, you need to switch to the DNS name instead or API calls will fail. We will be turning off the old IPs on or around May 15th.

Sending requests by DNS name will ensure that your requests will continue to work across potential future IP changes. However, if your scenario requires using an IP address instead of a DNS name then you should use the CIDR blocks listed below. If you are making requests by IP address to remain compatible with firewall filters for outgoing requests, we recommend investigating if your firewall supports named-based policies instead of address-based policies.

New Steam Web API addresses as of May 1, 2014 (use only if you can’t make requests by DNS name):
208.64.202.0/24

Old addresses, DO NOT USE:
63.228.223.96/28

This work is done now. Requests made directly to the old IP addresses no longer work; so please use the DNS name in the future.

As we say "Lack if planning on your part doesn't constitutes an emergency on my part"
Does this mean that a account made in 2013 will not be able to retrieve login details or be able to regain a lost account. I can not access my lost account and i feel i am annoying people when i dont recieve text messages or email messages. I now have paid for another download from steam and another premium account from nexus. But still can not download Mods.
