Steam is stealing my money.
My bank statement claims last night after depositing my check that Steam deducted 10 dollars from my account for wallet funds. Not only did I NOT attempt a purchase last night, but I did not recieve the 10 dollar wallet funds, that again I didn't actually purchase. Only been here a month and Ive dealt with similar errors roughly 10 times at least. Not gonna lie, Steam is pretty terrible as an OS, and unless someone helps me with my numerous issues, I think I'll go back to consoles. At least when I have an Xbox issue, I can talk to a living human being on the phone.

Steam is not an Operating System and I'd advise to check whether your account/credit card information might have been compromised.

Steam does not 'steal' money or generate random transactions. Your account is probably compromised with malware that you downloaded through your own fault. Check your transaction history in the client. If there is nothing there; your bank details have been swiped and used by someone else on another account.

well its not in my transaction history, so what do I do? Contact my Bank? And I was led to believe Steam was a secure site, how could I have downloaded Malware?

There are many ways on how you can get malware, malware doesn't come from Steam site. You could easily wonder off/be lured into a site that has a misspelled name of steam such as staem and you log on with your details thinking you're logging in on official steam site and BANG your account is now compromised. You can get malware by going on dodgy sites, it's nothing to do with Steam.

Well that sucks, but i only use the Steam shortcut to access Steam, so it definitely was on some other site. So, what exactly should I do now? Please? Im in a panic here, I like Steam, it has a good community, but the errors just ruin it for me.

Once you are satisfied that nobody in your household used the card accidently; cancel the card. You should download and run Malwarebytes which is top-range anti-malware software which can eliminate phishing material/key logging software which you may have unwittingly downloaded to the device. Also run a full offline anti-virus scan. Once you are 100% satisfied that the PC is clean; change ALL online account passwords associated with the device including Steam, your email and even social media along with PayPal.

Also create a Steam Support account and submit a ticket regarding the situation. Steam is a secure site but your PC is not safeguarded.
