I've never seen so many games repeated in a summer sale
Seriously, its like Steam didn't have enough games on sale to cover the entire event, so games are popping up several times. I dont remember that in previous summers.

Not many sponsors this summer, it seems.
(If you would to actually read the rules for the Steam flag race, you would read that employees of companiyes that sponsors of the Steam summer sale are not elligible to participate.)

Yes I feel it is bad too, I keep seeing the same games and barely any games I really want. It makes me cry as the only chance I could of got Left 4 dead 2 around 75% was to vote and some how the other games got voted instead. I want my mother.

Some of the deals just don't make sense either. Some games are more than 5 years old and still haven't dropped below $5 during a daily deal/community pick/whatever.

Battleblock went to 90% off when it became a Yesterday's deal even though it was 75% on the daily deal.
And when the hell is Dark Souls 2 going on sale so my friend will buy it?
The games that i dont want, wins the community votes and are always repeats. The games that i do want lose the votes and never pops up again

what

My biggest gripe is that Hotline Miami has gone on sale like 4 times already or something. Pathetic. Couldn't have picked a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game to repeat too.

Publishers offer up their titles for these sales at a discount of their choice. You're right in that Steam chooses what games show on the main page. Repeat titles will appear as long as demand is high. It wouldn't make much business sense to put up titles again if they did not sell well before.

How about the fact that there are not as many new AAA games released through the year like there used to be? That could very well mean repeats in the sales.

Hey! Nothing wrong with Hotline. But yea I halfway agree with you.
It's silly
2 days ago the lego movie video game was a daily deal
8 hours during the deal the community vote had the lego movie game on it as well

Seen the same 3-6 games on rotation

The devs said it's too early so no sale

Well you obviously thought it was worth full price a few weeks ago, knowing that it might be on the Summer sale. Patience and discipline are key to saving money/finding deals.

Sorry that sounds kind of dickish.

No since when does a full price AAA game that is just released go on sale?

Answer never. It's just the greed of ubisoft unfortunately but it does call for question

2-4 months ago that's fine it's been a while (ie Wolfenstein) not watch dogs not yet

It's ok you don't sound dickish, I know about the sales I just think it's very strange

Also, I believe there was only one $50.00 or greater game released between Watch Dogs and now (Murdered: Soul Survivor).
