Survival games.

Recently there has been a rise in survival games popularity. I think there are four main ones on steam. Rust, project zomboid, dayZ, and nether. Which ones do you think are the best?

Eh. I didn't count that as to me, it didn't really count as a survival game as it has a goal.

I would say there are not any great survival games out there yet, but I would say Project Zomboid has the most features and items of any right now. You could aways play Minecraft or Wurm, but I know what you mean you want a true survival game. There are no good real sim survival games if there was I would be playing it.

I still think Troll Tribes from Warcraft 3 has been the best multiplayer survival game i played and i really enjoyed the tribe vs tribe warfare with the ability to ally with tribs to beat non allied to win or betraying them at some point.

Banished. It's a city builder, but a medieval one where traffic congestion and housing values aren't the issues. Rather it's starvation, plagues/diseases (in settlers, plants, and animals). Then there's the occasion fire or tornado. It's a fun game! It's on Summer Sale right now.

Be warned though, Sim City it ain't. If you build things the wrong way or in the wrong places, your people may not survive the first or second winter.

I have to go with DayZ. There is no other game that gets me as frustrated, sad, and happy, as that one.
Disclaimer: Do not start playing this game alone, or it will be complete ♥♥♥♥. You need to talk with someone who knows what they are doing, either through steam voice chat or skype or whatever. It is completely frustrating if you dont know what you are doing, and unless you have a friend to help you out, you wont know what you're doing. It is alot more fun with someone to talk to on the 5 kilometer hikes.
