A good SCI-FI Humans vs Aliens/monsters/whatever game ?

Hi,

I'm looking for an epic game in which humans kick some alien/monster asses ... I know that's not original nor hard to find, but there's so many of them, I can't chose anymore. I don't care if it's set nowadays or in the future. I only accept RTS/FPS Games.

Just to give you an idea, here are the games I love and already own :

-Warhammer 40 000 Dawn of War series because of the Imperial Guard/Space Marines/Sisters of Battle... This game is too epic, really , too epic.
-Starcraft because Terrans. lol, just terrans.
-Aliens vs Predator series thanks to the USCM and Weyland Yutani's armed forces.
-Half-Life series (and especially Opposing Force) thanks to the HECU.
-X-COM series because of ... X-com itself lol, Love those challenging games.
-DOOM series ... Because MARINES MARINES MARINES. This games mixes both horror and action, and that's what I love the most.
-Quake series ... (especially quake 4) , for the same reasons.
-Unreal series (especially Unreal 2 : the awakening) ... What's more pleasant than playing a Marine Marshall hunting xenos and baddies throughout the entire system ?!!
-Natural Selection ... No need for me to explain why.
-Alien Shooter AND ZOMBIE SHOOTER series ... No need for me to explain why here again.
-Alien Breed series ... Same here

... I think you get it now. Any game where a fictitious human military organization fight off monsters,aliens , heretics or whatever you want is good for me.

Got any idea ?

Serious Sam is not really that scifi but it has aliens kinda, lots of shooting and silly stuff. The HD versions of the first games are Decent.

Dead Space series? The third one is a bit more action and a bit less horror if that's more your thing.

Get Duke Nukem forever on a sale maybe, should get hella cheap on the summer sale. Not that great but scifi action and all that.

Natural Selection is a well liked multiplayer FPS.

Borderlands 2, killing humans and aliens to get loot so you do it again but with bigger numbers.

Crysis series.

Shadowgrounds for some more indie top down action, kinda old but still moody scifi stuff.

I already played Alien Swarm plenty times, it's indeed an amazing free game.

Serious Sam sure looks interesting, I'll try to read more about it.

Dead Space is not that great to me because there's not enough action, but now that you bring the third one...I SHALL LOOK forward to it !

I already have all the Duke Nukems, lol. Borderlands and Shadowgrounds look interesting too, thank you !


I'll have to decline Crysis, because, having tried it... I don't know, I don't find it appealing for some reasons.

Dead Space 3 is already out as an Origin exclusive, but it is the least liked game in the series by almost everyone. Feels like Dead Space 2 is the best mix of them, and the best game.

HAHA ! that reminds me of Silent Hill Homecoming. I hated every silent hill game but this one, and for other fans, it's all the contrary !

Primal Rage is an online multiplayer team deathmatch game. There's no single player to finish that I'm aware of. Also, if you already own it as noted, you may want to know that there will soon be a new update that will fix a LOT of the issues it has and update many things. It may be an entirely different game when they're done with it. Personally, I love being a little raptor and pouncing on unsuspecting humans to eat them. :)
edit: I'm not seeing it on your account, could you possibly be mistaking it for a different game?

You might also wish to try the Red Faction games, I'm not personally familiar with them but I've read good things about them.

Err... maybe you confused two games, because Primal Rage is this game : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primal_Rage , lol. But I think you're talking about that newer game featuring dinosaurs against humans. If it's the case, I already tried it and I LOOOVED it, I shall buy it someday, especially now that I know that there'll be a big update !

It's not scifi but don't let that deter you. Damn does it deliver on the action. Skip the sequels and remakes, get the original by the original developer People Can Fly.

Damn good old school fast paced action quake/doom-style with a dark fantasy biblical style on the enemies and guns. The game is a bit old but still damn fun.

The developer later developed the game Bulletstorm which I liked to, it had some of the same stuff but in a more modern scifi violent humor setting. The game just got back on Steam and it's rumored that the might patch away the GFWL and then you should definitively check it out.

Durr. You're absolutely right, it's me confusing the two. The one I'm talking about is Primal CARNAGE. My bad. Sorry, not enough sleep lately, sad thing is, I was just playing it about an hour ago. Anyway, Primal Carnage is just stupid fun even right now in its badly-needs-updated stage, and the big update should be within a few months. ;)

About the Painkiller games, most of them are very entertaining but there's ONE that is really, really bad (I'm sorry, i can't remember which one it is as there are several of them - check the ratings and forums on these ones before buying definitely!) Painkiller Black is the "first" one, the starter and it's excellent so that one's safe.

Check out Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds: Survivor. The Alien Breed series are quite similar to this 2, also they are quite cheap and you can find them on sale often.
