Steam Abroad...namely Australia and Europe.
I am traveling in Australia and will be in Europe next year, I got a Mac Laptop(with Windows on it...since Macs BLOW for PC gaming least for Steam 110 games...only like 30 work on Mac) and I am using a VPN to make Steam(and Netflix) think I am still in America. But either from the rather bad internet in the country(least compared to America) sometimes it doesn't work and is getting frustrating.

I am wondering should I connect without the VPN and try to download any of my games I bought while in America or if I buy any games here while in Australia/Europe(I am a sucker for retro games and Steam sales...) even while I plan to return to America will I be stuck with Australia/Europe verisons of such games. I know Australia has some wicked crazy censorship laws...and being as I have no real plans to live here in the country(even though it is a nice place), and when I return to America...will I have to get whole different verison again being in a different part of the world.

Or will all my games just download as America considering that is where I open up the account, used USD to buy them all and such. I just want to be sure I won't be region locked out of like...all my games cause they are too violent for "decency of the Australian public" since I am violent, gore loving American. >.<

No need to use VPN since your country is now part of your Steam account. And most games in the US Steam Store rarely have region lock.

Okay! Thanks a BUNCH!

I was just worried as I know Australia has some wicked game censorship and I just didn't want to get Australia verisons of any games I may have already brought in America or any future games I may buy over here, since I do plan to return to America...someday. Lol. Now I just have to use it got Netflix alone. Yeah!

Really...you are making a pretty wild and general racist rant...on a nearly THREE year old post. Please go waste your time somewhere else.

Also, Australia was great. Not sure what you are talkinng about. lol
