A Good and Popular RTS Game on Steam
What is a good real time strategy game on steam? I was a huge fan of red alert 2 and Generals. Is red alert 3 a good choice? I do not mind trying out new RTS games too. Total War is not an option.

Wargame: Red Dragon is the most popular. But it's very different to C&C.

Rise of Nations: Extended Edition.

Awesome RTS, builds on original C&C / Red Alert style gameplay but adds formations and build queues, etc.

If you're a fan of the C&C games; this game should be ideal

It releases on Sept 2nd but you can buy it now and try out the skirmish and MP modes to learn the mechanics. The final release in a few days will include a campaign and other features.
