Need an simple freecell-solitaire for my granny
My grandmother is somewhere between 85-90 year old, she loves this games, used to spend a lot of time playing the ones on old windows builds.

But since windows 8 (i think) it doesnt comes with the OS anymore.

The one provided in the windows store as the the new "official" microsoft game is very different, because it has a lot of propaganda, coin based progression and other stuff that is just too complicated for her. I tried some other games, but all of then are granny cashgrabs with a lot of propaganda.

So i would like some suggestions of something i could just buy and get the closer experiencie possible to this old games.

im looking for something with:

1.No ads.

2. No microtransactions, ingame purchases or any other form of ingame monetization.

3. No subscription fee.

4. Preference for something WITHOUT 3d, progression, themes, menus, etc, just the plain old solitarie.

5. Cleaner interface possible, as closer to windows 98-7 card games as possible.

i thank you in advance for any suggestion :):steamhappy:

most have some kind of monetization... a simple pop-up add window is enought to confuse my granny thats why i'd rather pay for a clean game, but i dont know any

If you have the old Windows 95 or 98 disk, you could literally copy the games from the disk and run them on your newer computer. If your newer computer's OS is 64 bit, you may need to do some modifying to get the old programs to run. There are tutorials online that will tell you how to do this.

It's wonderful that you're looking for a freecell solitaire game for your grandmother. I understand the need for something simple and straightforward without all the modern monetization tactics. Here's a recommendation that might be perfect:

Freecell Solitaire by Microsoft :

No ads
No microtransactions
No subscription fee
Simple and classic interface

You can play it directly on browser https://freecardgames.io/freecell/ without needing to download. This should give your grandmother the nostalgic and straightforward experience she's looking for.

Enjoy!

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
