People That Suck Up to High Level Steam Players
Am I the only one that thinks how stupid it is that people wish high level steam players; "happy birthday", or "Merry Christmas",it just really bugs me how big a suck up they must be to do that .__.

Well it quite possibly could be that user's IRL friends that are wishing them "Happy Birthday" or "Merry Christmas", but otherwise it could just a popularity aspect, people may assume that by getting on a higher level's goodside, they'll make more friends that way. Or it just may very well be, that person is just more well known, and people just want to grant a wishful holiday for that person.

...or perhaps, they think they'll get some freebies

Or perhaps they are just being friendly. Just because someone has triple digit levels and get some comments I have seen tons of lower level people with single digit or double digit levels that get more comments than the higher levels. We are all the same. Getting our geek on. :) The higher level people just have more resources to get their geek on. Not sure whether to be happy or sad for them. LOL. I am honestly kind of taken aback at how much I have spent on steam over the last 4 years. You could say almost foolish! LOL. But heck it is my obsession. ;) Happy Holidays all of you! Now get out of my way the Steam sale is about to kick off! Ha!

I get mainly beggars. I have three close friends on here, the rest are merely aquaintances. This is only a gaming platform, the steam level means nothing. We are all just normal people. I do find it sad to see those people that want their profiles signed like the higher level people are some kind of celebrity.

Profile signing? I didn't even know that was a thing.

Higher levels are neat, but I personally just keep friends I personally know on my list. I'm not a high level. I personally don't believe level matters all that much as of right now. A few extra friend slots, and showcases, ah yes.

I only level up so I can get more slots to customize my profile. I honestly don't care about your level unless you're adding me as a friend. I only accept +10 because there is a lot of scammers on steam. :caster_mad:

Am I the only one that thinks it's stupid that you bother to even see and be annoyed by this?

Lol why is this even a thread ?
my reason to level up were the showcases I can use with higher profiles and customize it.
