Trade hold, inspect item in game?
Hey!

just traded a case hardend knife with 3 days trade hold, i dident had the chance to inspect the item before the trade was accepted (traded through my phone) and i would like to see the item in game, but when it ia on trade hold its not in my inventory or in traders inventory. Is there someway to inspect the iteam in game within the 3 days trade hold?

If it's not in your inventory then you won't be able to see it in game. If you just want to check the actual details of the trade to make sure the item's what you expected then it should show in the trade offers panel.

Nice avatar by the way... always got time for Mr Weebl.

Thanks! but i can inspect in game before the trade when it is in the person that am trading with inventory, just seem strange that i cant inspect on trade hold. In this case i want to see of the amount of blue is the same as the trader said. Since the amount of blue on a case hardened knife can rise the price alot there would be a good feature to inspect the item when ot is on hold aswell.
it is still an issue, Kinda sad TBH

It was never an issue to begin with. Once on hold it leaves your inventory and you can not inspect it.

Inspect your items "before" you trade them.

A trade hold is a completed trade; Steam just punishes us for not using a mobile gadget with our PC games.

What this means that that, just like a real trade which you can't undo after it has been completed, the same applies to trade hold. In reality, though, Steam does allow you to cancel, although they do give you a minor penalty if you do. You're not supposed to cancel at that stage, though.

no, a trade hold is a pending trade that is being held incase the account was hijacked and one or more people involved in the trade are not the actual account holder. Without both parties having the mobile authenticator, you will have to wait.

its called security. when your account gets hacked, you will be very glad to have those 15 days to get it back under your controll before all your items are gone forever.
