Will Alan Wake 2 come to Steam?
I’ve been told that E**c is the publisher for the Remedy game. If this is so will the game ever come to steam?

I really wanted it to come over to steam but I don't think this is gonna happen for the following reasons:

1 - Epic funded and published it.

2 - Epic is trying everything and anything to try and drag people over to EGS.

3 - Although AW2 hasn't made its money back, Epic is willing to eat the loss and giving games for free every month is part of their willingness of taking the hit in order to bring people over.

4 - And last but not least, Fortnite. As long as Fortnite keeps being the juggernaut it is, they can keep throwing spaghetti on the wall to see how much sticks.

Conclusion: Unless something extraordinary happens, Allan Wake 2 is and will continue to be an Epic exclusive for at least the next 10 years when Epic ultimately fails and shut that store down, which, I don't really know if it would be a good outcome.

Hear me out, I don't like EGS just like the majority here but competition is good for the consumer. It would be best if they could actually improve their service and put some real pressure onto steam, specially in times like this where we see games' prices going up constantly.

I would urge people to check out playnite.
Awesome app to launch all games from all stores, including emulated games, with some amazing extension for you to have even all your achievements in one place and whole lot more.

let me guess you were not here for half life 2 and the fact we never needed steaming pile...........you supporting the DELUSION steaming pile should be the monopoly controlling PC gaming is the only real problem here.....im glad to know more and more people are no longer willing to support steaming pile....its time for this lie to come to a end

Remedy recently broke up with Epic and now self publish. They haven’t made any money on Alan Wake 2. It’s been a disaster for them.
Wonder what publication rights Epic still have on the game and if they still have this, they may be inclined to release it on Steam. If Remedy have total control, they may have no choice to do this to help recoup funds to pay off the loan they just secured from Tencent.

Either way, the game bombed on Epic and everyone lost. There's no reason not to release the game on here now no matter how has the publication rights.

Emotional reason. I think that we won't see Alan Wake 2 here for a long time, simply out of spite.

Alan Wake 1 had 10 years of exclusivity with Microsoft.

So, people claim Sweet Baby INC had something to do with Alan Wake 2, but that makes no sense ever.

Like, none of the narrative designs in that game are of the same way SBI does things.
Nothing about the claim makes sense.

Same with DEI as a whole.

https://sweetbabyinc.com/ SBI's website. Scroll down and you'll see "Alan Wake 2"

These are the games they worked on or helped.

Okay, but what did they do to cause problems with the game?
That's what I wanted to know.

You didn't ask that, you just said it didn't make any sense that SBI had something to do with Alan Wake 2, which they did.

As for the problems, you'd have to play the game or ask someone who did, that question.

Huh?
Okay, that's a bit paradoxical to state.

Whatever, they worked on it somehow, and then people claimed it's bad.

They race swapped a character. Was the first thing I could find without even playing it.

Now if they are able to get a race swap on a character they are more than likely to get other changes. Seeing how more and more SBI games have failed rather hard one can guess that they're making all games worse with their help.

You could you know, search for stuff.

Character designs change all the time during development from early concept art.

Her race change isn't anything unusual at all.

Sometimes a publisher just does not bring their games to Steam, even after EPIC exclusivity ends.
See Square Enix and their Kingdom Hearts games. Have been on EPIC for 3 years, no Steam release in sight even though they publish all their other games here.
Who knows WHY? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
this aged like sour milk.
