Game suggestions for gaming noob girlfriend
Don't think I've posted here before, not sure if this is the right forum. Looking for a game my girlfriend might enjoy (we're older). It needs to be something relaxing, nice to look at and not too difficult. I don't know that she's played any before. Shooters aren't for her. She sat in my sim rig to try a racing sim, but after a couple minutes she got stressed and said it wasn't for her - seemed like rush hour traffic at full speed to her.

To give you an idea of what I'm looking for, I've tried a little of Call of the Sea, and I think she might like that. It's a woman protagonist, looks to move slowly, and looks and sounds pleasant. I also saw a trailer for Dear Esther, and I don't know if she'd like that. Both of those are realistic styles, but I don't know if she'd like a Monkey Island game or not - puzzles might be a bit obscure for her.

Samantha Swift (and a bajillion games jsut like that). My GF loves those!

We play it by her getting into my office chair we've put in front of the TV and getting her poking stick. With that poking stick, she points to objects she wants me to click on the screen. I'm chilled on the couch, controlling the game.

It's a semi-passive couch co-op setup, she gets to look at colorful things (and solve puzzles), I get to suck on my vaporizer while playing as I don't need more than one hand and we both get to play a chill game together.

If she's a sucker for a heartwarming story, this is the most underrated game i've played...

I think there's a demo you can try.

Set up cozy Minecraft server for two.

There's no better bonding experience than shaping and bending the world to your will, together. And she can put her Minecraft bed next to yours.

And make sure to include The Aether or The Aether II

Palia sucks. At least it did a couple of months ago. Hardly any content, playtime stretched with busywork and "drop" rates that make you drop dead from boredom and/or grind before you can find what the game wants.
