How Much is My steam Account Worth

Hi i went to two sites that told me what my steam account was worth one said that it was $1700 and the other said $1300

Looks like $1300 is correct. Steam Gauge is telling me Skyrim is worth $40 right now (which is wrong), while Steamdb is listing $20 (correct).

That other one seems to crap out on me.

I guess both would be inaccurate for me because it couldn't possibly calculate bundles or keys bought elsewhere properly.

Yes some sites don't calculate if you bought it with a discount, and it can't possibly calculate any non-steam bundles you have bought (like humble bundles).

These sites don't tell you what an accunt is "worth" -- they just add current prices.

For one thing, you can't sell accounts, so the number is meaningless to start with. Also, if you could sell the account, chances are that buyers wouldn't be buying all those games right away, so they aren't going to value your collection like this.

And last, you probably didn't buy the games at full price anyway.

For me, SteamDB tells me "This account is worth 2454,27€. If all games were bought on sale, it would be 736,60€". I don't know what sales data it uses (never seen that number before, and I wasn't even aware that SteamDB collects sales data), but even that isn't accurate -- I only spent a fraction of that amount.

Kargor is right - this "account value" thing is pointless. My account for example very likely shows up as value of 0 due to the fact that every single game on it is from a retail hard disc copy, bundle, or gifted. 300+ Games, but 0 value. ;)

Actually, it won't. It doesn't care where the game came from, it only looks up the shop prices for it.

For me, only a small fraction of the games have been purchased through the Steam store, but it's very well possible that this information isn't even available to 3rd party sites.

Oh, so I guess it's just "account details" that shows it that way then. Heh.
Either way, it's amusing. XD
A great many of my games have come from bundles, indie sites sell a LOT of nice bundles that are very cheap.

Too see almost exact price go to this site and sing in, it may take a while to notice your trying to sing in, but once you are click on your profile in the top right and it will calculate Hours Played in total and what your entire account is worth. http://steamcompanion.com/
