VAC or banned

This is probably a stupid question.
Would I get banned for playing games on my steam deck using Heroic game launcher to play epic games and GOG or other ones?
I want to know how one gets banned or VAC to avoid it.

I just got my Steam deck and downloaded emudeck and Decky as per youtube videos.

I never used those softwares. I don't have a deck, I'm just the average Linux user. Heroic is something I use so I can vouch for it but not for the rest. Sorry.

Hope somebody else can fill in the blanks.
