Nvidia Shadowplay

Hey does anyone know how to record with shdowplay? whenever I press the key to start recording, I dont see any icon saying im recording and no files pop up in my video folder?

Have you checked your settings in GeForce Experience?

I assume you are using the default hot keys?

When you press Alt+F9, does the little grey box with a green ball in it appear in the configured portion of the screen?

Nah, thats the thing, the marker (grey box) doesnt even come up at all

The box won't show if you're not recording (unless you set it to Instant Replay instead of recording).

I have seen some youtubers, that when they have shadowplay activated but not recording they can see the grey box, i cant see it at all

Those YouTubers likely have Shadow (loop buffer) enabled as well, not just Manual recording.

I just tested with Super Meat Boy: I get the icons (even when it's not manually recording at the time) when I use Shadow + Manual.

When I only use Manual, I only see the icons when I'm actively recording.

Any different if you tick the box to allow GFE to record desktop? I recall having to do this with Tabletop Simulator despite it having been fullscreen.

Does the issue persist in other games than CS:GO? Tried asking on the Nvidia forums?
