"Reboot and Select proper Boot device"
So my PC died whilst it crashed playing BioShock infinite, and we managed to make it work again by puttin in a windows 7 recovery disk. It worked for a bit, then we tried to update to windows 10 again and it died again. Then it wouldnt let me do anything, the disk said "no drives present" and I couldnt do anything. Then randomy after being turned off for a night or so, when turned on it said something about it breaking and asking if I wanted to launch windows 7, I chose yes and it was all going fine. Then I turned it off and plugged in my External Harddrive, when I next turned it on it crashed. And did the same stuff over again. Now Im stuck with a PC that does nothing but say the reboot message, won't find the harddrive in the BIOS and won't let me use the recovery disk because apparently there are no drives where tere were before.

Please help this is realy pissing me off and I want to use my computer so bad.

If I get it working again, I won't update to W10 and break it again. Please help.

Just install a OS on a USB, change boot order, and you're done.

Won't it have the same issue with not being able to find drives?? It says

"No drives found. Click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation"

Well it depends on what you're installing, and what are your drives formatted as?

Im trying to install windows 7 via the recovery disk? And it should be formatted correctly as it's already been on there.

My brother thinks it might be something to do with the harddrive. Could you send me a link to the EXACT place where I can install windows 10 onto a USB and instructions upon how because my brother mentioned something about having to format the USB in a special way, if you could take the time to do that I would be eternally greatful!

There must be currupted files on your Hard Drives that makes the PC crash and break. Your Motherboard could have been fried or even System root doesnt work. My Father had this problem and got through it by factory reset it, load a Windows 10 boot and recover the backed up files.

So I need the W10 on a USB stick, again I need instructions as my brother couldnt find the correct page. I would be very greatful for a link to the site. Also I don't think it's the motherboard or the harddrive being actually damaged simply because it does work sometimes, as in, since it stopped working, it has worked but then broken after I try to restart it with my External HD imputted. Also since it happened my External HD's blue ss slot on the back of the pc doesnt work and I need to use the front one. Please send me the link and suggestions/instructions on what to do. Once again thank you so much!

It'w what ^ Cryptical said, you lost your HDD partition in the crash. If Win 10 can't do it you can do ti with Linux. Not hardware damage, and your data may be recoverable.

Emm, its turned on again. Im writing this from my PC. When I turned it on again after leaving it off it gave me the menu saying "Start Windows Normally" and of course I hit enter and it all worked. I am now making a backup straight to my EHD which works just fine as well. I am VERY scared to turn my PC off though as that might be the issue. Any thoughts on that? :c
