It's neither a shooter nor horror game, but it's got a pretty interesting co-op system. One person plays as a spy who has to sneak through an area while a hacker hacks doors and cameras to clear a path for the spy and act as a spotter.

Co-Optimus is a pretty good resource for finding coop games. As the name suggests, the entire site is dedicated to coop games, even their game reviews are purely based on the coop modes a game has. Their database breaks down each game and lists exactly how the coop works, like couch coop, online, number of players for each, ect. Since their reviews are based only on coop modes, games that might be overlooked elsewhere might have better reviews there. You are bound to find a few games you have never considered before.
