Steam Purchases

I just tried to purchase several items from the steam store with a gift card, the sale didnt complete casue "lack of available funds" But when i checked the funds and transactions history for the gift card it says the sale is pending for the correct amount and the card had enough funds to cover it. So what is going on?

The purchase triggered a verification tap which wasn't able to process which lead to the failed transaction for insufficient funds on the purchase.

When the failed transaction funds are released back to the card, just simply add the total card amount to your wallet and then make the purchase.

I will try that, though what if the card says that the sale went thru but it isnt reflected on steam?

The pending transaction will eventually fall off the statement and the funds will be usable again. This may take a day or two.

Thx. Never had this issue with making purchases with a gift card before.
