Help me understand this, Steam. Two prices, one game?? This is shady AF

It's not MUCH of a difference but it is a difference. And it begs the question "how often does this happen?". I got a special offer on a game, advertised as one price and when I buy it, it's being offered at OVER a dollar more than advertised.

Game in question: Soulstone Survivors Midweek Deal priced $5.84. When I click on it, it is then presented as $6.49 and I was charged $7.14 so it WASN'T taxes. I have screenshots how do I fix this and how do I know I haven't been overcharged before??

With those prices and currency, it sounds like the OP was viewing it with a VPN to Europe.

No, no VPN, this was the price quoted to me, the price I agreed to, and not the price I was charged.

Op if you use VPN/proxy to spoof your location then you know why prices are not reflected how you want it from one region to another.

If you're traveling, and your account haven't changed country that be another reason why it switch back to country account is set to as that what the account is set for until you update account for said country using said country local payment method.
