Can I automate selling my community items?
Those steam items you earn with games. I don't know what they're called exactly but you can create a set of them and stuff.. I don't use them. I don't need them. I do know I can sell them and earn a few cents and make somebody happy in the same time.

The problem is I have 12 pages full of them and once I'm done putting them all on the market the muscles in my hand are gonna be on fire for a week from that clicking clicking clicking.. It's not like you can bulk-sell them or something, nooo that would be userfriendly. Can't have that..

Am I allowed to automate that selling? I just want to put them on the market a little under the last know price that it gives me so the sell quickly and then be done with'm (until I get new ones).

I can technically do it. That's not the issue. I was halfway before thinking "oh wait.. maybe I'm not allowed to do this".. But am I allowed to? I don't want to risk my account.

There's probably a specific 'suspicious' number of API transactions you can do per day and another hard limit where no more API transactions can be made. If you hit that maybe a few days in a row then there may be consequences as some arbitrary temp ban auto-locks your inventory, etc.
Try two, then double it the next day, You'll find the trigger number fairly soon.
If its actually mentioned in the API docs or the agreement then just hardcode that limit in to your script and don't run it twice.

Good luck and I hope you survive. (it will only be temporary if you happen to trigger anything).

Meanwhile us mortals still have to do all that clicking. If only Valve would allow some kind of multi-select for putting things on the marketplace.

I was actually using selenium, so it's just a real browser but the clicking and typing is automated

In that case unless they're using browser sniffing(and you didn't copy your browser's User-Agent string) they wouldn't have any way to tell the difference.

There is a danger. Compromised accounts seeing all their inventory sold off is common account hijack pattern. Should (if all is/would be well...) be a suspicious pattern to whatever heuristic Steam deploys to find accounts suspected to be in danger from a hijacker.

Now, said heuristic seems none too eager to trigger also in an actual hijack situation, so you'd likely be in fact fine -- but best be sure you have all set up to if necessary convince robotic "Computer says no" Steam support that, yes, you are in fact the legitimate owner of the account and yes, you do in fact want to sell off those trading cards (as what they are called...)

Thanks for the warning! And the name :)
I just sold about 14 trading cards this way.. So I'm not doing everything at once.. Tomorrow some more. It really sucks that Valve doesn't allow bulk sale on this stuff but I guess that's because of the account hijacking then.

It is similar to purchasing many games at once. You just have to manually do small amounts in a day or twice day with a good amount time between both times in one day.
