Cannot buy or sell trading cards for certain games?

I've recently been getting into badge crafting on steam and some games on the badge list that i have have multiple cards unlocked, so i go to the marketplace to buy or trade the remaining ones i need but it's saying that there are no trading cards on the market for this game. So I switch gears and decide to sell the cards I do have to the marketplace and I get the notification, "you have 1 more of this item in your inventory that cannot currently be sold on the market." I can't find any discussions on the internet about this, what it means exactly, and how I get rid of these trading cards. Grateful for any info!

Items from banned or delisted games can no longer be sold on Steam Market. You can only trade them or turn them into badges or gems. When game is delisted or banned, all sale offers in place are canceled and no new sell offers can be made. If you view such item on Steam Market it'll tell you that "This item can no longer be bought or sold on the Community Market.".

I've seen threads for non-marketable (NM) trading before. I don't have any of those cards so I've never read the threads, but likely they are trading for gems. So you could buy a sack of gems on the market and use it to trade for the cards. But you'll have to wait a few days as there's a hold put on trading anything you've just purchased on the market.

Also some trading cards have a time restriction which means that you can not sell or trade them until a certain time period ends. You can see it by clicking on the cards in your inventory and look to the right side for information about the card.
