their is a guy telling me he reported me and he was scammed using virus and scammer from my same name and profile ♥♥♥ and he said i was reported to steam . he says it was a mistake and he is trying to convince me to contact some on on valve Support Discord,Steve_ Assistance . is there official support on Discord about this matters in steam?

You report discord accounts to discord.

Would be better if discord just region blocked the areas responsible for 99.99% of all scam attempts.

You know what? I used to be a victim of this dirty scam, but I managed to recover with all the evidences I have such as proof of purchase (Steam Support was rather quick, thanks for that). Someone in my friends list have his/her account hijacked and sending this sickening message and directed me towards Discord.

Though my items for CS2 aren't worth any value (I don't play CS2 anymore, but I rarely hop back in only for playing with bots most of the times), financial loss using Steam Gift Cards was another story entirely. It happened at the time before Steam enforced region restrictions for using gift cards, both physical and electronic (E-Gift Cards).

If I hadn't react on my account that'd been lost to a scammer back then, I wouldn't be here. It's a hard lesson, but hey, it makes me keep vigilant on every scam tactic criminals have to offer. 😉


To OP, report, block, and move on. Each platform has their own way to report for such scam like this.
