Low Memory Games
I admit I have a bit of a paranoia about most games, because, by my standards (and by multitasking) most games/demos exceed 2GB. This is worringly large my my standards. So, can anyone suggest any Low Memory Games?

Dude, we're living in 2024. 2 GB is almost literally nothing. If you want to pick an arbitrary bar above which RAM usage is a problem by some gauge, set a more realistic bar.

2GB RAM were a Standard back in 2010-2016, you could play most of Steam games with 2-4GB such like CSGO, Insurgency, COD games... "AA" Games Technically.

And there still users that plays w/ 2GB RAM even on MP games these days.. SOO... wym "Literally Nothing"?? :emofdr:

Other hand. If theres no 2GB Games.. Being Gamedev (this 2024) and making ur own with 2GB RAM is not that hard if you start learning, babe~ :epiwink:
(And don't use the typical "UE5 requires at least 8GB", not all devs uses these Cashgrab-ware)

Here's my list for 2GB/Celeron you can play. ArmA 2 MP still playable and fun for a low-end Mil-Sim. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1984016136

2GB memory? you pretty much looking at either old games or to an extent indie games but even some of those indie games require more memory then you have currently. but of course if you looking for games what is low memory usage then what type of games are you looking at or avoiding.

just thinking of operating system and background stuff running as well. To an extent PC's in the last few years came out with either 4 gig or 8 gig ram so your pc must be a bit old

steam hardware survey 2024: 0.05% running on <=4gb RAM (realistically 2gb would be less than half of that but they don't go into details that low)
steam hardware survey 2008: 56.18% running on >=2gb RAM (2008 is as far back as it goes)

just the steam client alone uses 500mb RAM today and the recommended just to use W10 is 4gb.. 2gb is really pushing it by standards of today's software

Thanks, everyone. It is partially because I don't have an actual gaming laptop and use this one for school stuff as well.
Also, point taken. Just, multitasking at times...

Vampire Survivors is nice.
Electric Cupcake May 6, 2024 @ 2:20am
Conway's Game of Life.

GBA games. Old PC ones are hard to find, and if you do they are hard to trust.
Ice Scream May 7, 2024 @ 12:30am
you should check out gog.com then for old games
Interesting that you mention Conway's Game of life. I would say it is a Simulation. However, I know a Game based on it. URL below!

Also, here is a clue about one I am playing. Also, I did not know about the (LINK REMOVED) thing. It appears STEAM/VALVE Corp does not like links leading out of STEAM.
