To the paid moderators…….
If you are going to lock a thread make sure you remove any personal information that a poster may have unwittingly left on the post

I'm surprised that moderator with "Valve". It's sad that she/he doesn't know what to do, she/he could rather removed personal info or just delete it "thread". I think it's probably a bot moderator, who knows. Sadly :lunar2020halodragon:

Of course, I've already reported several times and nothing happens :steamdeadpan:

as mentioned in my comments, i reported that 14 hours ago, it got locked... instead of deleted, then i reported it 5 or 6 more times since and still nothing...

it took a whole 4 hours to get it locked.

where are these reports going? :cqlol:

my report said something to the effect of "this thread was locked and an email was left unedited, this could be harmful to the user or other users"
Oh my god, so much mess with moderators. Valve really needs to be fixed with moderators :angry_yeti:

oh, i know... moderation is a mess.. and so is support.

not to mention other issues, where i need to deal with support and they seemingly ignore everything except the first sentence... post a template reply, i respond back, 17 hours later i ask if they are reviewing my ticket, 1 quick hour later... another template response again ignoring everything but a single part...

still waiting on another template response and/or my ticket promptly closed, who knows.

i wont go into details, but needless to say, dont sneeze in the forum, it may be punishable... while you can see threads filled with insults and worse, that dont get moderated.

too many reports and they just lock the thread and no moderation happens lol.

i could speculate, but then ill be demanded for proof lol.

its ridiculous.

To be fair, we shouldn't post any personal information that will revealed your private personal. We had scary time when my closed friend shared email to stranger.

What happens to my Steam Points when I refund a game?

When you refund a game, the points you gained from that purchase will be deducted from your account. If that causes your Points balance to go negative, we'll also remove the most recent items and Community Awards (and related tips) you've used points for, until your balance is no longer negative.

well, those are user given awards? as if i would award someone, how would i refund it? or you saying they lose it, when losing points?

or i gave an award, refund something and the award gets removed?

You get steam points when someone given you a award 14 days ago and purchased video games. When you refunded one game, then you lost steam points too. So it is good idea to review one game before buy.

It is not recommend to use up all steam points, because you may will be on negative balance. So, leave about 10,000 points if possible.

How would you know what threads Valve does or does not read? Do you work for them or have anything to back that up? I mean i've had suggestions i've made on the suggestions thread be later implemented, its not proof but its anecdotal evidence they might indeed have read it.

welp, not that im surprised, but 22 hours later and many people? reporting that locked thread.

moderators still didnt fix it :cqlol:

who else here reported it?

i wont include despite someone that i wont engage, claiming its none of our business, that in the past and with volunteer moderation as well (back when they were still a thing), they fixed stuff like that because it can be very harmful.
