i want to build a pc for dota 2 for 200+ fps on any settings preferably mid at 1080p resolution
i mostly only play dota and ocassionally play other games
but i want to build a pc specifically for dota 2

Where is your question?

If you want to know which hardware to buy you should tell us what your budget is.

If you want to replace your current pc tell us the hardware of it.
If you want to keep you current pc and build a second one there is no need for it.

RTX 4060/RX 7600 can max out Dota 2 at 1080p. You'll get around 200FPS give or take. Pair with 6-core or better. Some future proofing would be 6400mhz DDR5 RAM. Source games aren't that demanding.

Debating on converting my PC into a Steam Machine gotta figure out how to do it though for now all my gaming is on Linux some people hate dual booting but if I need to switch distros easily with LTS I'm really considering if you want a gaming PC I highly recommend trying to turn your PC Build into a Linux gaming PC.

DotA 2 is a very easy game to run all things considered. You could build a low to mid tier PC and be able to run it perfectly fine. Even if you only plan on playing mostly DotA 2, I would consider getting a PC with specs a little higher to account for other games and things you'd want to do with it. I recommend going on https://pcpartpicker.com/ to put together a build and see what might fit your needs the best.

The minimum requirements for DotA 2 are:

Memory: 4GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
CPU: Intel Pentium D 915
File Size: 15GB
OS: Windows 7

The recommended are:

Memory: 8GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
CPU: Intel Core i3-2120
File Size: 15GB
OS: Windows 10

These are pretty attainable for a cheap price, and if you wanted to go a bit higher in terms of RAM and a better GPU, you'd be able to run the game perfectly fine with everything maxed out.

I understand if you want 200fps on FPS game, but something like DOTA, sounfs likr an overkill. It doesn't reall require much pc spec to do on that. Yiu're just asking people "how can I dump my money for show?".
