suggestions on jRPG?

I like RPG games and I like tactical turn based games. I havent played many jRPG though and recently thought it could be nice to buy something new, maybe in this subgenre.

Im thinking about mostly Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy. I also consider bit smaller titles like Chrono Trigger and Tactics Ogre Reborn.

Any suggestions about those titles? Or maybe something else? Im looking for a game that has both RPG layer and tactical layer (turn based). I guess the latter is more important than first one, though in jRPG it works other way round ;-P. It would be good if game wasnt overly difficult.

I can't suggest it enough

For turn based Disgaea series as mentioned is classic and are pretty cheap during sales
All the older Final Fantasy games up to say 12
Persona 3,4, and 5 are all great as well and definitely suggest

I guess I will check Disgaea 4C+ or stick to Octopath Traveler. Well, now it is good time to buy something and start playing ;-)

If you want to try it i'd start with the first one which is dirt cheap at the moment

If you like that formula the others are worth getting. They build upon it and polish some of it but the first one still has one of the best stories out of all of them IMO
