Some people (I am being extremely nice when I leave it at some) complain for a living. You have to accept that and move on.
As long as you are responsible for your own habits online and are happy with them you should be good to go. Fact is there will be those who aren't happy with your opinions even if your posts have an ounce of common sense in them.
When I report things that clearly are abusive it often gets totally ignored. I posted that I returned to a certain game and got a week long forum ban for asking if I was missed. And the people who spend day and night openly stating their only intent is to troll and or hurt certain games are rarely punished.
So trust me there is no algorithm at play here. Just mods who like to pick and choose more often than not to ban actual players while obvious trolls go unpunished. At best they might lock the thread and give said troll a free pass for letting them flex the ban hammer. There are political insults being made on said forum at this very moment that I know will be ignored. Steam was never this heavy handed. But it seems lately they want to drive away people who care about the games they play in favor of protecting forum trolls.
There's no 'algorithm' here though. This isn't Facebook.
Some exceptions to this rule are games like Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden but most games are way to easy. Even one of my fav games, Fallout 76 has been toned down over the years to crater to the cry babies. Granted getting rid of the penalty for being hungry was a good move
Same for active-aggressive sometimes, like calling someone a "spoiled toddler"...
By finding useful information, obviously.
No, they seem to mean it's difficult to find anything useful here thanks to those that ruin the forums making them a warzone.
