But seeing as you have full control of what comments are on your profile, you should absolutely NOT take it as a reference to whether a person is trustworthy or reputable whatsoever. Seeing as you can simply delete any negative comments, "-rep" comments included.
For the record, you can leave it up if you want. You won't get in trouble for having +rep comments on your profile. Just don't use it as a way to determine if someone else is trustworthy.
-rep may annoy kids that care about this stuff
It's a psychic way of making their body think they did an extra rep as a workout therefore making them stronger without having to do anything.

As there is no tracking system for it, it is worthless.
Especially because users can just delete the negative ones and only keep the positive ones.
That's why no one trusts it.
As already mentioned, it's a useless reputation system.
Not everyone who uses it has bad intentions. The comment on your profile is harmless.
