Hacked My Account

Hello, a few days ago sent For Me a message about a $50 Steam gift card. After I clicked on the link, my account was stolen and this message was sent to me by Steam.
Dear tokserjun,
The email address associated with your Steam account has been successfully changed.
We are sending this notice to ensure the privacy and security of your Steam account. If you authorized this change, no further action is necessary.

If you did not authorize this change made from the computer located at 194.156.122.12 (RU), then please change your Steam password, and consider changing your email password as well to ensure your account security.

If you are unable to access your account then you may use this account specific recovery link for assistance recovering or self-locking your account.

If you still have access to your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Sorry for my words but... as someone on the internet who clicked a random link promising money you are by far the biggest idiot out there and theres no helping you if you fall for the lowest tier of scams. Educate yourself on the internet security 101 things and then ask for help.

Anyways a Russian Scammer, it's shameful Russia dont investigate criminals who scam people from west, this have to be stopped.

if you are able to get your old account back, contact support steam and give all information necessary for prove that you're real owner of your old steam account

The most important information for be given is:
1.Serial Key of any game
2.Credit Card number
3.Payment proof

This have happend to me already sometimes when Steam's algorithim ban me wrongley guessing i was hacked but most of times not

hope it helps you and please next time dont click any link as well no download something and vice-versa

if you feel that person is not trusted or if he was hacked, you can open link in a private browser for more security because today in day most links have malware for hack your account, but sometimes if your steam account has some low security or vulnerability still you can be hacked by a skilled scammer hacker for exemple without even have clicked any link, download something or done nothing though.
