Steam not picking up my Logitech G920
Good God, can we get Steam support around here about Steam itself? Steam always wants to link to games and deflect everybody to those manufacturers. It isn't always them. When I go into settings & controller, my Logitech G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel is not showing up. When plugged in and everything says my wheel is working, Steam says "no controller". Must be why it's not working in a couple of games I purchased here. What's the deal, Steam? Can I get support about Steam or not?

BTW, my Xbox controller is picked up by Steam. I don't know the mechanics behind other types of controllers, but it isn't inconceivable that Steam is doing something behind-the-scenes with my wheel & flight yoke. It's not always the game, folks.

This is not Steam support. Browse "How to contact Steam support" on browser, and you got your answer.
Steam does not have to pick up a wheel. Games do that on their own.
If you have a problem with a particular game, ask in its discussion hub.

I certainly do not use SteamInput for my Thrustmaster wheel. Not sure if it even could.
1) Use the Logitech software and disable Steam input.

2) Set up the wheel in the Logitech software then tweak it in-game for any game you wish to use it on.

3) Steam Support does not handle tech issues for 3rd party games, peripherals.

It does when Steam Input actively blocks other input APIs when it's enabled.

Thank you. I think it's interfering in my case. Especially with SnowRunner. I'm also suspecting F1 23. My wheel won't do anything in either game. Too much of a coincidence for it to be the individual game's fault.

That only sends me in circles and I never get to chat/email anybody to see if Steam is supposed to be involved with these devices. I will check my new flight yoke. If it doesn't work, something is definitely going on with Steam and I don't know how to contact tech support. Used to be easy to contact them, and now it's a mess.

I'm not sure how to do that with the Logitech software. I never see anything about Steam in either one of their products. On Steam, the controller area is greyed out, but I suspect it isn't all the way disabled. My Logitech software sees my toys fully.
Have you tried disabling Steam Controllers entirely ? I mean if you didn't buy it from Steam, why have it on ?
I have a Logitech Driving Force GT and I've never had an issue with Steam hijacking my steering wheel. Same with my Extreme 3D Pro joystick in fact.
PCGamingWiki suggests to use either Logitech Gaming Software or GHub to make the wheel work, so have you tried the latter if the former doesn't seem to work and vice versa? Have you checked that Windows is detecting the wheel under "Game Controllers" and that it is being prioritized over any other controllers you might have plugged in?

I really would like to know where you found the setting to disable steam input into Logitech Software!

this is not a tech issue from a third party, this is an issue from STEAM.
THEY block devices with their Steam input settings, so THEY HAVE THE RESPONSABILITY TO ADVISE ABOUT THAT.

You are right, there is no option about steam into logitech app.
like someone said about the responsability of steam about third party issue, it's not the responsability of third party to prevent a plateform like steam to block their device.

if steam blocks you to use your devices, they must advise you about that.

that's it

it's really frustrating to lost multiple hours to try to fix something is not broken when the only thing to do is disable a setting INTO STEAM PARAMETERS
