[SCAM] Steam support member, deleting games, suspicious activity, trade to a friend or steam support member
Hello everyone.
That was a really nice try by scammers. Such a nice try so i decided to make a post.

If you recieve a message from a support member of steam (I was playing CS at the moment), saying smthng like -
My name us 'username' I am a part of steam support. We recon a suspicious activity in your account.

Then comes a list of IP's that u used to login or smthng, to make look like they are legit...

You can see your frineds blocked, profile pic deleted or smthng.
Then they say, that to open up your account again, you have to trade all your skins etc. to one of your 'friends' or a 'steam support member' in next 10-15 minutes. If you dont cooperate they will

1. Delete all your items permanently
2. Block your account.
3. Delete your games

Other nonsense ...

ITS A SCAM.

First time I even told them to get lost and blocked. In a minute I recieved a message again 'you cannot block or unfriend a steam support member'.
Then they start to push you on time, like you have 10 minutes etc etc.
They even can start to delete your games from library, block your friends, delete your profile pic etc.

They hack your steam profile, get access to it, and start to make a mess - block your friends manually, close your game by opening it on another PC, and unblock this 'steam support member' to text you again.

Dont be afraid, just change the password (everywhere else also).

Stay safe!

they dont hack your profile. they can change it because the account owner somehow gave away the account log in. that gives the scammer the same control over the account you have. they can change the name like you can, add/remove friends like you can, trade/sell stuff like you can, etc.

games can be restored, go to Steam Support, then in the search box at the bottom of the menu type in the name of the game, then select the game from the list, select "its not in my library" and you have your game back.

to secure the account

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your log in information. This could of been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to steam.
This is good because I wanted to denounce a former client for whom I worked and who did not pay and also stole my code...

This is Nathaniel Weatherford or Nathan Weatherford who is a SCAMMER with his many false companies including
Cat Code Games, Catcode Games LLC, Hitbox Interactive, Iron Sight Studios, and himself Nathan Weatherford with whom he scams investors and other victims.

Another concrete example is that I posted a YouTube video of my work while denouncing this scammer with the YouTube title:
Procedural Aim Offset + Weapons exchange Work Done for Wanted in Hell UNPAID by Nathan Weatherford
To which he made a request for deletion for copyright reasons through one of his fake companies Catcode Games LLC, it is in French but you will be able to recognize the name of the company which requests the removal of the video and the game he's trying to release at the moment Wanted in Hell even though he doesn't even have the rights... https://imgur.com/p5VPKqg and who is making the request?
and yes still the same Nathaniel Weatherford, here is a screenshot of his Strike request from my YouTube video https://imgur.com/gallery/cNNJmsD

Another concrete example, its game Wanted in Hell https://store.steampowered.com/app/781790/Wanted_in_Hell/ which will probably not be released in good condition and which you can follow on social networks at https://linktr.ee/wihgame and see that the progress has been less since 2019 and whose name of the game has been changed many times to Wanted, PlayWanted, Hell Hunt, Etc... In addition Nathan Weatherford via Catcode Games made requests for the deletion of Youtube video on Hell Hunt for copyright reasons while the name Hell Hunt belongs to T19Games...

Your posts probably keep getting removed because the Steam forums are not the place for handling professional grievances. Saying we stole your work is a serious accusation. If there were any truth to it, you would have taken me to court by now instead of continuously posting lies online for 5 years. I’ve considered for some time whether your posts even warrant a response because you’ve shown you are not a rational person. The remainder of my post is not directed at you, but to anyone that happens to read your nonsense.

The fact is that none of Cedric’s work could have been used in our game because he never submitted any. His contract was terminated after only 2 days because he hired someone else to do his work so he could not explain or support it and what he showed was so poorly executed, it was unusable. I would not ever allow this type of “work” in a game I’m responsible for. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MSK_idzvUb8KcFRJ-E6blucU5yjDRHwI/view?usp=sharing

For years, Cedric has taken every opportunity to create drama by citing events that didn't involve him to try and make me look as bad as possible. The video he links from 2020 updated their description that the game names were changed, Cedric continues to illegally distribute and show work from artists that worked on our game, and he has openly admitted to sharing project files for revenge against me.

Contrary to what Cedric says, there are no investors in our game or company being scammed. I’ve paid for everything with my own money and it’s not been easy. I often contract inexperienced devs because that is all I can afford. The vast majority of the time it works out, but sometimes it doesn’t. Cedric Devarenne represents the worst of the indie game dev community. The only redeeming part of having met him is now having a template for the kind of lying and bullying that I’ve sadly seen crush new devs before they even have a chance to release their game.

I won’t be responding further to any fanning of drama on social media. My Discord is n8dev and email nathan@ironsightstudios.com. :8bitheart:
