hi guys so my friend is asking me to vote for one of his teams he doesnt speficiy for which game and he sends me a link to a website i dont know the website and im afriaid to click it cuz i think its a scam sdo what should i do guys is this a scam or a honest? thanks.

The "Vote for my team" variants of the phishing scam link has been going around for over a decade.

Well someone asking you to do anything especially right after sending a friend request is one of the biggest red flags.

If people send you anything to "vote for" a tournament/artwork/workshop submission and it needs your login, treat it as an API Scam / Phishing attempt to get partial or full control of your account if you're not using 2FA.

Also, definitely don't accept random unexpected friend requests.

Lastly, make your inventory private, and the profile friends-only, the chances of being targeted by scammers/phishers after that is very close to 0.

It's most likely a scam. There were actually two of these guys who added me and asked to vote for their team. When I tried voting, I got an email about how someone from a foreign country was trying to access my account. I can't say it's 100 percent a scam, but it most likely is.

No, he could NOT have, stop being naive and READ what people tell you.

This scam is so common there is literally a FAQ about it. Do NOT enter your account information on the link he gave you.
Your account will be compromised if you do.

yep im not going to click that link but it still he might be an honest guy so im just not going to unfriend him but he keeps repeating the same message over and over he doesnt say anything else he doesnt even ask if he wants to play in a game

i cant make my inventory private and my profiel friends only cuz one of my friends says he blocks and deletes people with private inventory and private profiles
