more like they gave you an ugly statue that has some sort of value, but it has to be on display in front of your house, and if you accepted it or accidentally accepted it then it's just stuck there permanently with no way to remove it.
But, yes, the existence of those badges rather entails they’ll likely recur.
That’s a non sequitur. You’d need to demonstrate that users-at-large are similar to you wrt badge creation.
No, it certainly is understandable to be upset that a badge is unexpectedly added to your profile. Transferring that to “I wish that ‘recent badges’ wasn’t” is what I find unjustified. I have and do perceive it as an activity feed rather than user-customized information.
lol just read the part where you said you will never craft another badge. Quite the irony considering that's the only way you will get the year in review badge off of your profile.
Also, as has been said in all of these other threads about this, that section on your profile with the four badges? It's not meant to be aesthetic. It's for your four most recently crafted badges.
Stop trying to make it aesthetic, because you're going to end up losing every time.
The 20-year badge doesn't match either, so what now? I don't see you complaining about that one.
You can't push some off, I have the community badge and game number permanently there taking up 2 spaces, and the gold community one is really ugly. I don't mind the number count up at the front like you have in your profile, but a big yellow glowing circle is awful.
You got yohr badge showcase for you to control so control that.
It does raise a question though. Why is Steam so adamant at urging people to check that feature of little value?
Since the customization of the profile is not "armonyzed", users go -mad- to have control on some/not having control on some other, of their "personal space". Many people should not mock, belittle and flame the guy, they are just putting gas in fire. It's unfair, and they are sick humans. They will polarize him, and that rage can become something worse, for everyone.
About the issue:
There are so much new customizable areas in the profile, that not letting people control some of the old ones makes them annoyed. There is a weird, unbalanced, way of handle the profile personalization, and it is related to old thing meddling with new things.
This is some sort of versioning problem, is like new employees, while patching and repatching, do not keep a common memory, as the new dev/graphic UX group who comes after the previous does not gives a flip about what was done, they add new things, and they do not care of the impact these new features have in the "user experience", compared to the old ones.
Technically, it must be a smallness to add options to these things, but they do not care cause they are focused on other things, things to not lose money, as to not f**k up with laws (look how they are concerned about -18/+18 customization, or privacy, or whatsoever)
So wathever you are trying to express, do not forget nobody else really cares of what you care, generally, in life. Whoever is in this planet, is here for the money
Also didn't like getting called out in my own thread for your antics, so you had to construct a strawman against me in another?
If you can't push them off then where the bloody hell are they on my profile, they were there. So, I guess someone is telling pork pies...
