Unfair 10 year ban.Congratulations WARFRAME
I was banned from the game for 10 years for an unnecessary reason, after playing for 1843 hours. Is it fair to ban someone for 10 years for unintentionally using a macro on their mouse, which I used in other games and is legal, for just 10 minutes after 1843 hours? Your approach to a player who has devoted 1843 hours and thousands of dollars to your game is fantastic. Congratulations! Trust me and never play before losing thousands of hours and your money.

Well i'm sorry to hear it. They apparently take cheating very seriously. Though for a person my age, the charge so petit i'd likely be laughed at the kitchen table by my family. "Dad, you actually got banned on a video game"? It seems silly, and to most likely is.

The thing about it, is that i suppose people would be throwing away their money, if the games become literally unplayable due to cheaters.

Your time played and money spent mean NOTHING if you break the rules.
If someone who had 9999 hours cheated, should they get a free pass, while the player with 3 hours get banned for the same offense?
No. Everyone gets treaded the same.
You cheat or break the rules the devs have EVERY right to permanently remove you from THEIR game.

If I wanted to cheat, I wouldn't do it when I've only completed 5% of the game or after putting in 1800 hours of effort, right?

Let me guess, the mouse thats well known and even banned from many games where the macros are used to stop or counter recoil? The one advertised for that purpose?

Rust bans mice like that it unless you install a version from the manufacturer which disallows macros from the mouse.

Not surprised other games are catching on.
Wolf Knight May 15, 2024 @ 2:43pm
each game has its own rules, what is allowed in one game may not be allowed in another. if your macro allowed you to do things in game macro's didnt allow or couldnt do, then it can be treated as cheating.

as SlowMango has already stated, contact that games support. they are the only one that can assist you.

Personally, i sincerely don't know "why' people even cheat. It's not like you have a bet and money on the game. It never made sense to me, unless its those who just want to make others miserable, or idk, maybe they're trying unlock stuff. If not for that, it just seems meaningless.

If what we understand by cheating is assigning the Ctrl key to my mouse, then yes, I did it unintentionally. And yes, they could have at least warned a player who has put in so much effort, even just once.

That doesn't get people banned.
I assign normal keys to mice and even my stream deck. Those don't get you banned.

I even have macros for my deck, Logitech controller etc. No bans, because they're not used for cheating.

I inadvertently assigned the macro I use for mining while playing Knight to the Ctrl key. I must have used it for a maximum of 10 minutes before realizing what happened. I didn't even understand what it was until the next day, and then boom, banned.

If it automated anything in warfare it likely got you hit because it was likely observed after being reported.

Depending on what it does, it should've been obvious it was running.
Yes, it is entirely fair, and your story smells worse than 3 day old fish

they do not know this

they are going to be using an automated system that read you using a cheat

have you contacted them?

when/if you do, you should try and not sound so indignant

that program is just doing its job

the people you are going to contact are just people hired to help you

they have no knowledge of you or your past

contact them and explain what happened

they may feel for you and remove the ban

I doubt custom key mapping caused the ban.
The OP did something that violated the rules.
