So do you guys think it's real? It seems unlikely that Valve is making a new game imo.

Why would it be unlikely that Valve is making a new game? They said in interviews that they were working on games.

Well we still don't have Half-Life 3, Counter-Strike "2" is more a major update than a new game. Instead of fixing games like Artifact and Dota Underlords, they just let htem die. Why would they develop a completely new game now? I'm very skeptical and most of the leaked pictures seem like they were drawn by an AI.

Valve has stated many times the past few years that they have a few gaming projects in the works.

And yes, it is just a meh game.

Not having another HL game is a plus to me, to be honest.

As said, Valve said in interviews that they were working on games. So nothing unlikely about it. New IP's also seems like a much better idea, hype wise.

Early alpha footage. Doesn't mean anything at this point, game still might be canceled or reworked completely.

It's not unlikely that they're creating something new, more unlikely is believing that they wouldn't do it.

Obviously it's real. That said, I'm not looking too hard into it. I would rather wait for them to properly announce it.

In-development games by Valve get leaked all the time. It's not unlikely this 'leaked' game of theirs is real.

Can see this going the same way as Artifact. Deadlock would've probably been reasonable back in 2018 but there's just too many of these types of games now and most are fizzling out. It might end up being good for what it is but to be honest, I'd expect a lot more from Valve.
