I wrote about the game's official website in the review, but I was banned
I wrote about the game's official website in a review of a single player game and taught some ways to improve the gaming experience. The result showed that I had been banned by a Steam moderator due to violating the terms of the Steam Service Agreement. I have read the Steam regulations thoroughly, and there is no rule that prohibits the inclusion of game official websites in game reviews, nor is there any rule that prohibits the modification of single player game coins. That's just a single player game, modifying coins to improve the game experience is not illegal, is it? The author did not encrypt the game data, so my tutorial does not involve cracking the game. It is just a. txt file that anyone can modify. And the ones who banned me are game agents, not game manufacturers. I don't think they have the right to make decisions on behalf of game manufacturers. Now that I have removed the game from my inventory, I just want to remove the review from my homepage.

How do you know the game owner didn't report your review? They can't delete reviews, they have to report it to Valve to take action.

As for the rest you need to contact support if you want to dispute it.

Describing how to cheat may not be appropriate for reviews. If you disagree with the ban, you can dispute it. You're free to have your own opinions and interpretations about the rules, but it's not your system and sometimes your opinions are not going to supersede that of the moderation team. And you don't need to be convinced you broke the rules for consequences to occur.

if only we could see the review itself

Do they usually charge real money for the coins?
No, buyout game, no recharge interface after purchase, pure single player game

The game name is "Summer Rhapsody". The first sentence of the comment is: The official website of this game. The second sentence is: Open the game root directory, find the X folder, open the X file in Notepad, and modify the price to a negative number. I am in China, so the purchasing interface is represented by a certain game manufacturer in China. Perhaps they think that the "game official website" has influenced their promotion, and they have their own website

I contacted Steam customer service and they said this was done by the community administrator and has nothing to do with them, so they also have no authority to lift the ban/delete comments. I am in China and the purchasing interface is from a Chinese game agent. They have their own forum, it's not official. I wrote about the official website of the game in my comment, which clearly made someone unhappy. Quoting a joke from Battlefield 5, isn't this the "local emperor"

In my perspective, modifying data for single player games based on buyout cannot be considered cheating, as it does not affect other players or the game manufacturer's ability to make money. And I don't think it has much to do with this matter. To be fair, it doesn't matter whether you do or do not consider something cheating.

Are you using Steam China? Cause it's possible you need to contact Perfect World then or something like that.

Anyway, as stated, game devs cannot ban or remove reviews themselves. They can flag them, but that's still another party (Valve/Steam Support/ Perfect World perhaps) checking the review.

Keep in mind that including such stuff can indeed be moderated. Most game devs don't want any talk about cheating or shortcuts in the reviews.

Well, I agree with your point of view. Game developers cannot be idle and stare at the comment section every day. I think it was done by game agents, and Steam gave them administrator privileges

Well you did leave quite a bit of relevant information off your original post it turns out.

It's funny that he even put it into the review -- if you have a problem with the game, how many people will go to the reviews to look for a solution, and how many will go to, let's say, the guides?

Guides even have their own section for cheats -- "Modding and configuration".

To make it even more interesting, if you want to experience normal content in that game, you can only go to the official website and apply a patch. I wrote on the official website to tell everyone that without patching, players cannot play normally. It is ridiculous that all evaluations, including myself, have been deleted and banned as long as there is a relevant word on the "official website"

You can not link to the uncensor patches, even if it is the "official" game website. This has been a rule for years.
