Oh there was a lot of guns. There was a lot of murders. In fact,. as bad as crime is today, it's nothing as compared to then. Yet, despite even "a" gun, we did not see people going into a school, and shooting it up. Or a mall, or anything of the kind.
The fabric of our society is breaking apart, being people are being fed this garbage, 24/7, do not know right from wrong, parents who are more in tuned to making money, then raising their children, and in their place, Mr Zuckerberg, Mr Nadella, Mr Pichai, Mr Newell, Mr Spencer, Mr Ryan and everyone else, with evidently no care or concern, of what's being uploaded or posted on their applications.
If none of those platforms cared, they wouldn't have a report system and actively encourage users to report content that breaks the rules. You're also blaming random people for the fault of parents.
Think maybe their education system is probably more at fault for why their education system is getting shot up
It was still wrong since it's a regulation on a device and not the website, but it was still an attempt.
Of course i just said there were. Likely even much more. But again, we're talking mass shootings of public places and events, not as crimes of opportunity (gangsterism and other matters very common), but by damaged people, fed this trash, bullied and gone nuts.
Of course, calling someone a "poopie head" is acted on very quickly here at Steam, yet no care or concern, for those bullied, brigaded, or chided, that in turn caused the "poopie head" comment.
We need change. And its slowly, but surely, coming.
Edit: This is satire.
Except, the "change" you want wouldn't solve what your claiming is happening.
If a bunch of people responding to a topic is being "bullied and bigraded" the forums shouldn't exist since that happens to a great majority of posts. It's just a bunch of victimization where there are no victims.
There is no legislation that is even talked about that would do anything to what you're claiming the problem is. All legislation currently being talked about do not include forums in their regulations. Legislation that has been pass has been blocked from being enforced.
There were no mass shootings back then at all compared today. I remember Jonestown, but that was a mass poisoning in Guyana. We didn't have this phenemona. Again, it started in the early 2000's.
As far as legislation, we just got done with Meta changing their terms, being screamed at in the Congress. We're seeing states making moves, slowly yes, but surely.
And its gonna happen dude. We are just one mass attack, from the whole thing morphing into something entirely differerent.
entire "wild west" is romanticized mass shootings lol
Again, they aren't removing any content and you can literally just change a setting to see political content on your feeds from accounts you don't already follow. All they changed was just allowing users more control over what comes up.
We aren't considering the last time this exact sentiment was stated was a few "mass attacks" ago.
Well where were they? On a weekly basis we see them today? That link shows individuals. "A kid shot two people. A kid shot his teacher".
There a song by Pearl Jam called "Jeremy" in 1990 about a kid that when into a class, and shot himself. Not the whole class.
You're really pushing the envelope on this.
If we are seeing them on a weekly basis, then that even leads more into how there isn't regulation on social media coming. Considering they just need the next "mass attack" like you boldly claimed.
