Can't create new API key

Am I the only one with this problem right now? I revoked my old API key and tried to create a new one, but only get: "An error occurred while retrieving your account information. Please try again later."

Can anyone help?

Why do you need an api key?

Some things are just easier to do in software with an API key.

I'm currently avoiding the use of these APIs, but that only makes things more complicated as I have to use the regular webpages.

Still, if you're not doing anything automated on your account, or something that doesn't need API keys, you don't need one.
Also, even if you do, you might not have to worry about it yourself -- IIRC, the API used by clients (which is what I'm doing) to retrieve the API key can also create one if it doesn't already exist. I haven't looked into details, though.
