Are "highlights" daily deals? Better deals each day?
The summer sale always has daily deals, with games more discounted then usual if you buy them on the right day.

Is this the same? Should i wait each day to buy a game to hope for a bigger discount?

Steam doesn't do that any more, discounts don't change for the entire sale

Greedy Idiots abusing the refund system that was implemented shortly before the summer pissed of the developers very much...
hence no differing Deals anymore. The developers are those who ultimately decide if a game goes on sale and for how much.
Thank the people who refunded games just because they were ond aily deal for 1 or 2 euros less.
Honestly I would give the Refund System as exchange for the old Sale-System.

Meh. I don't really mind it. The charts show that what we're more likely to get for the entire sale is closer to what they would have given as the daily deal before. I/e on the whole it means lower prices all around for the entire sale.

The old methdology created a 'race to the bottom' for discounts between devs to get highlighted since that was the only way to get noticed. Espacially since everyone here would claim "DONT BUY ANYTHING UNLESS ITS A DAILY DEAL"
