i think steam is not better in this. they bombard you with so much clutter its not funny anymore. whenever i enter the shop i see hentai games, games i aswell can program myself within a day using gamemaker, games that are old and at horrifying prices...
i also dislike the new ui a lot. steam is bloated and it really needs to loose some fat
There are people on here that have invested hundreds or even thousands of Dollars into their Steam account. They won't leave.
i am aware of that. all i assume is the focus will shift from steam to epic. that ofc might change again when steam ripples up and improves. i got a large lib on steam myself
pros:
+free UE4
+free games every week
+doesn't crash every time you alt-tab
cons:
-Epic community is almost non existant
-Tencent owns maybe half of it? Idk but Im sure China has some connections with Epic
- people go nuts when they see a free game they bought 4 days ago
Only reason I had an account was for Ark's Dev Kit.
People never care until something happens, like you mentioned
Well they gotta have done something... I mean with over 100 Million active users and a total library of well over 30.000 products (not including movies and server tools). Not to mention the frequent milestone breaking events like the most recent one...

I could cast a list on that but I guess you get the point. Go sell your soul for some free stuff. But don't even think about whining in here because your data will eventually get breached on Epic
Steam offers more features and a more robust system to egs.
Being a 16yr old member my self, personal thoughts is..... well steam is the best platform for pc.
And congrats for being here for 16 years
Those games are so old and been on so many sales already that practically everyone that was going to buy them already has. All they have done giving them away is lure in people that weren't interested to be hit by the microtransactions and dlcs they feel they will have to buy to catch up with everyone else.
